The annual HutchCC Recruitment Day is right around the corner, and they would love to have your juniors and seniors visit!
This is a great opportunity for students to explore their options at HutchCC, visit with faculty and staff about our programs, learn about student activities, and get a feel for what it's like to be a Blue Dragon!
Recruitment Day Details:
Date: Friday, November 6, 2026
Location: Hutchinson Sports Arena
Check-in: 9:30 AM
Event Ends: 1:00 PM
Students will have the opportunity to explore our majors and activities, visit with different departments, enjoy lunch, and take a campus tour.

The Scholarship Application is Open!
In addition, the 2026–2027 HutchCC Scholarship Application is open!
Students can apply for a variety of scholarships through their DragonZone account under the Finance tab.
The priority deadline is February 15, so complete their applications early.
Buhler Families and Community,
The tragedy on Saturday at Stryker Sports Complex has affected the McPherson community in an unfathomable way with the devastating loss of two lives. During this difficult time, we lift up our neighbors in prayer and stand ready to support their community and school system in whatever way they need in the days and weeks ahead. We may be rivals on the field, but off the field, we are neighbors, colleagues, and friends.
Buhler youth soccer teams were on nearby fields preparing to compete at the time. All of our young athletes were safe and able to exit the area without incident. Buhler Schools has gathered a list of students from our youth soccer coaches that were at the complex Saturday. Although most students didn’t witness the event, they they may need support processing things they heard or saw. Counselors will be available at our school buildings for any students or staff who need support processing this event.
Join us as we pray for the soccer community, first responders, our parents who helped at the scene, and McPherson.

The BOLD program gives school leaders the opportunity to learn more about the many areas that go into effectively operating a school district, including facilities, technology, finance, purchasing, security, risk management, and human resources.
Mrs. Thompson, PHMS principal, and Mr. Geilenfeldt, BGS principal, will take part in seven training sessions with 23 school leaders and education professionals from across Kansas. We are excited for these two exceptional leaders to have this opportunity to learn, connect with other leaders, and bring new ideas back to Buhler Schools and our community.

Our field trip to the state fair will be on Tuesday, September 15. Here are the key details:
We will meet at GATE 5 at 8:50 am.
Students must bring a lunch and a water bottle. We will not be going to the food court, so they should not count on buying food from vendors.
Students must stay with the Ad Astra group during our field trip. Parents are welcome to meet us at the fairgrounds at 8:50 and attend the field trip with us, but students must stay with the group to be counted present for the day.
We will NOT be going to the carnival/Midway during our field trip. Students are welcome to return on their own after school on Tuesday to enjoy the carnival without having to pay admission, since they will be able to re-enter the fair later in the day.
They are welcome to bring some money, but they will need to stay with the group so options for spending the money will be limited.
We will leave the fair at about 1:00 and return to school for some academic work time. Parents can check their student out at the end of the field trip, but otherwise alternative students will come back to the building.
Alternative students need to bring their computers to school with them on Tuesday, because we expect to work on classes after we return from the fair.

All proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Council of Reno County. The store is live and will be closed on Friday September 11th at 11:00 am in order to get shirts here on time.
